Many Healings of the Woman with the Flow of Blood

With the emergence of modern quest for historical Jesus, theologians began increasingly questioning traditional views Jesus as a healer human bodies. While growing suspicion Jesus’s role literal body is commonly traced to influence Enlightenment, in this essay, I will suggest that roots theological marginalization run deeper, sixteenth-century Protestant Reformations, when supernatural did not yet equal superstitious.
